HISTORY:
As far as he was concerned, he was a fox. From his furry ears, to his fuzzy tails and his proud, strong paws.

Born to a kumiho mother, he was the youngest of his litter, the baby of his brothers and sisters, and also the smallest. Because of his pure nature, and his innocent spirit, his mother wished for him to remain untouched by the darkness that consumed human souls. To her, it would have been better if her son had remained a fox and lived out his years in the same simple way as his fox-ancestors, finding sanctuary in the lush forests that flourished in parts of Korea. She wanted to shelter him from how humans so often turned out, and if she couldn't prevent the curious nature of the rest of her litter, she would at least protect her smallest one. But things don't always turn out as planned.

As a young kit, it was normal for his attention span to be like that of a child - easily distracted by the simplest of things, bright colors, and curious scents. It was on a particular day, when he was chasing down a butterfly, that life as he knew it ended, and a new one began. Lured far away by the fluttering wings of the colorful insect, he drifted far away from his brothers and sisters, further than he should have ever ventured out alone. He didn't realize at first how far he had wandered, but when he became aware he grew frightened. With dark falling soon, and being so far from his mother, he began to cry and whimper. His mother had noticed she could no longer sense his presence but she couldn't sacrifice the others for just one. Lost, scared, and completely alone, the kit could only continue to wander about, calling out for his mother, but only attracting the attention of hunters.

Because of his two tails, a trait bestowed to his kind, he was quickly snatched up but not skinned or killed. He was unique, and precious and that saved him a quick death. Through a trade of hands and cash he found himself far away from home, and within a week he was no longer in a the Korea he knew. Despite his gentle, sensitive and innocent nature, Changjo was determined to get back home - his mother was all he had known and he worried about her constantly, always crying for her at night. His tails earned him a higher price than other wild animals and they knew they could get more money from him if he were sold as an exotic pet. Bringing in a large sum, he was shipped off to a wealthy family living on the island in some of the most prime real estate in South Korea.

It didn't last long, him staying there. Within a few weeks he escaped the house. Someone had left the door open, and Changjo took off at the first opportunity he saw, not knowing where he was or anything at all. All he knew was that he had to get home, back to his mother. He'd found his way in to a strange forest where the trees were no longer made of wood and the feel was much more dangerous. It was strange. It smelled and looked very different, and surely couldn't have been the one he'd come from. Still, he searched in vain, wearing himself out. How long he wandered, Changjo didn't know, but he ended up passing out near one of the many paths. When he awoke, he was in soft, but loving hands.

Changjo is terribly shy and quiet, often preferring to watch from a distance than to actually participate, but there's a glimmer in those dark eyes that display innocent curiosity and undying willingness to learn everything he can from others. Often times he seems like a puppy, needing to be reassured by the good intentions of others, loyal to a fault and unintentionally stirring emotions within others. To say the least, it's safe to say that his behaviors are odd almost non human.... which would be correct.
